Mississippi Viking

We departed Memphis last evening at 8; we will arrive Vicksburg at 8 AM tomorrow.  Below are pictures of our cruise boat; we are on the maiden voyage of the Mississippi!

We were surprised at how low the water level is (typical of western half us USA?) and how much sand there is along the banks of this lower Mississippi end.  A lot of the sand is from constant dredging to keep the river navigable.

Now for a tour of our river boat.  We begin in the upper deck (5) at the aft end at the River Cafe.
