City Lights & Empire State Building by Evening   We experienced New York City as the lights come up during this evening excur-sion.  Our exploration culminated at the top of the Empire State Building.  We marveled at the dazzling lights of Broadway and the illuminated icons of the city:  The string of pearls strung above the humming roadway of the Brooklyn Bridge; the spectacular art deco, stainless steel–capped Chrysler Building; the soaring Rockefeller Center; the neo-Gothic Woolworth Building; and the Statue of Liberty in New York Harbor.  We continued across Midtown Manhattan and ascend the iconic Empire State Building, New York’s second-tallest building after the new One World Trade Center (Freedom Tower).  From the famous Observation Deck on the 86th floor, we took in breathtaking panoramic views of the city.  Before returning to the pier and our ship, we enjoyed time to experience the hustle and bustle of Times Square.  Sunse...

Intrepid  Sea, Air, & Space Museum The museum is an American military and maritime history museum with a collection of  museum ships  in  New York City .  It is located at Pier 86 at  46th Street  in the  Hell's Kitchen  neighborhood on the  West Side  of  Manhattan .  The museum showcases the  aircraft carrier   USS  Intrepid , the  cruise missile submarine   USS  Growler , a  Concorde   SST , a  Lockheed A-12  supersonic reconnaissance plane, and the  Space Shuttle  Enterprise .  On the lower deck there is also a reproduction of a WWI biplane.     https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intrepid_Sea%2C_Air_%26_Space_Museum We saw the sunshine for the first time in days so we quickly took some pictures from our boat deck.
